Managed Switch Network
The development center is powered by a 100mbps managed switched local area network using Cisco's Catalyst series of stack switches. It deploys Cisco's GBIC technology, Cisco IOS software, QoS and switch clustering technology.

Gigabit Ethernet Data Cabling
Employing Lucent's Gigaspeed/ Systimax structured cabling solution, the cabling in this facility is built on Category-6 1000mbps Gigabit Ethernet.

Category-6e Voice Cabling
Voice connections use computer-quality LAN cabling. They double up as 1000mbps Fast Ethernet network outlets as well.

24x7 Availability
Servers in this facility run 24x7. The center is linked to the Internet via Cisco and Unix firewalls at the perimeter through multiple WAN links using ADSL and HDLC technology. An array of web caching servers optimize bandwidth within the facility. Independent project teams work via their own dedicated WAN links, site-to-site VPNs and DMZs.

All server room equipment is powered by independent Uniterruptible Power Supply systems operating on a 2-tier design and is separate from the main UPS/ Power conditioning equipment. Air-conditioning backup is provided by a separate split wall unit.

Remote Administration facilites are deployed to monitor and troubleshoot the network from remote locations.
